FORTUNE Top 100 Companies To Work For

FORTUNE logo 2011For the sixth consecutive year, BCG has been ranked in the top dozen of the“100 Best Companies to Work For” list, placing second overall in 2011. FORTUNE noted BCG’s development and diversity initiatives, compensation, benefits, and steps taken to help employees weather the downturn.

Vault.com Top 10 Internships
Valut logoThe careers website Vault.com has named BCG's internship program one of its "Top 10 Internships" for 2011. Vault noted that the apprenticeship model used by BCG gives interns access to BCG employees at all levels as they gain experience on client cases, work with other summer interns and full-time associates, and network at BCG events. Also, about 90 percent of interns are offered full-time positions. learn more
Human Rights Campaign Award for Workplace Equality Innovation
Human Rights logoIn recognition of its People Development Initiative, BCG has received the 2011 Award for Workplace Equality Innovation from The Human Rights Campaign. BCG's initiative of training and support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender employees allows every individual to be his or her true self—and it helps ensure that BCG retains top talent. The Human Rights Campaign is the largest U.S. civil-rights organization for LGBT employees.
Working Mother 100 Best Companies

BCG offers a wide range of family-friendly benefits, such as flex-time, part-time opportunities, telecommuting, generous parental leave and backup childcare assistance. In addition, our global Women's Initiative provides a foundation of support and guidance to help women build successful careers.

The World's Most Attractive Employers
Universum_2010_award_logoUniversum, an employer branding company, has ranked BCG eleventh on its list of the Top 50 most attractive employers in the world. The ranking reflects a survey of nearly 120,000 students at top academic institutions who chose their ideal companies to work for. This is the first global index of employer attractiveness and highlights the world’s most powerful employer brands—those companies that excel in talent attraction and retention.
Lifetime Achievement Award

SandyIn 2010, Sandy Moose, a senior advisor of BCG and former senior partner, received Consulting magazine's Lifetime Achievement award. Sandy has been a true trailblazer and leader on many fronts, including leading BCG's New York office from 1988-1998, serving as chair of the east coast region from 1994 to 1998, and founding and later leading BCG's global Women's Initiative.

Duck_Jeanie_thumb_smFormer BCG senior partner Jeanie Duck received Consulting magazine's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008 in recognition of her exceptional client impact. "Jeanie Duck is a pioneer who practically invented the discipline of change management," says Joe Kornik, editor-in-chief of Consulting magazine.

Most Influential Consultants

Since the inception of Consulting magazine's Top 25 Most Influential Consultants list in 2000, no fewer than 13 BCG partners have been recognized. Below is a sample of four BCG partners to have won this award or view the full list of individual honors.

MeiPochtler_antonella_thumb_smDr. Antonella Mei-Pochtler was included in Consulting magazine's list of the Top 25 Most Influential Consultants in 2008. Antonella joined BCG in 1984 and is currently a senior partner in our Vienna office.  “The breadth of knowledge, experience and skills you gain at BCG provides you with a springboard to excel in any field within BCG or beyond.” says Antonella who heads European marketing and is a member of BCG's Executive Committee.

marcil_sharon_thumb_smSharon Marcil, a senior partner in Washington DC, was included in Consulting magazine's list of the Top 25 Most Influential Consultants in 2008. In the same year, Sharon also won the magazine's Client Service Award. Sharon is the regional head of the firm's Consumer Practice and leads the Americas Women's Initiative.

Tsusaka_Miki_thumb_smMiki Tsusaka was included in Consulting magazine's Top 25 Most Influential Consultants list in 2005. Miki is  senior partner in Tokyo and former partner in our New York office. Miki leads BCG’s global Marketing & Sales Practice and is known for her pioneering M&A work. “BCG has continuously stretched me—even now, there are always new challenges,” says Miki who also leads the Asia-Pacific Women's Initiative.

Duck_Jeanie_thumb_smJeanie Duck, a former senior partner at BCG was included in the Top 25 Most Influential Consultants list in 2002. She was recognized as an expert on change management both within BCG and beyond, and was an active contributor to the global Organization Practice.

Best Places to Work for LGBT Employees

Human Rights logoBCG took a perfect 100 out of 100 score for the third year running in the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality index, earning us a place in the HRC's Best Places to Work list. The award recognizes workplace equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees and reflects BCG's diversity-friendly policies and culture. Learn more about our LGBT Network.

2010 Turnaround Atlas Awards

Atlas awardsBCG received four Turnaround Atlas Awards from the Global M&A Network for the firm’s work on the Chapter 11 reorganization of General Motors and Chrysler. BCG, which was the sole management consulting firm to advise the Presidential Task Force on the Auto Industry, won for “Turnaround Consulting Firm of the Year (Large Markets/Global)” and “Turnaround Consultant of the Year (Large Markets),” awarded to senior partner Xavier Mosquet. The firm shared in the awards for “Chapter 11 Reorganization of the Year ($5 billion plus)” and “Special Situation M&A Deal of the Year ($500 million plus).”
