Since opening in 1992, BCG Kuala Lumpur has outgrown two locations and is now based in the city’s Golden Triangle area and within walking distance of the Petronas Twin Towers. The office consists of a young, dynamic team who revel in helping shape businesses and creating impact for the office’s clients.
BCG Kuala Lumpur is one of four offices in Southeast Asia, and Kuala Lumpur-based consultants work on projects throughout the region. These consultants gain exposure to the breadth of the region’s economy through hands-on experience with a diverse mix of clients.
BCG Kuala Lumpur’s client base includes leading firms in consumer goods, energy, financial services, healthcare, media, technology, telecommunications, and utilities. The team supports assignments ranging from general strategy and market entry to organizational strategy and operational improvement. The client portfolio includes a mix of top local companies, state-owned enterprises, and multinational corporations. BCG Kuala Lumpur has helped its clients put in place structural changes that have played a key role in the development of the Malaysian economy.
Staff in Kuala Lumpur place a high priority on giving something back and are involved in a variety of community causes and pro bono efforts. Through the GAYE (Give as you Earn) program, funds collected defray the cost of caring for underprivileged children in three Kuala Lumpur-based orphanages. These funds are matched dollar-for-dollar by the company. Staff also volunteer to mentor and take these children on recreational and educational field trips. Through the Malaysian Governement’s CSR program, adopt-a-school, BCGers in Kuala Lumpur provide financial support and volunteer as mentors.
